St Paddy’s day in Toronto has always been a great show to play – especially at the famous Bloor/Bathurst pub Paupers.

This years show was broken into 2 shows – the 1st half focused on traditional Irish songs, the 2nd half focussed on modern style Celtic songs. It was a very successful show with so many stellar compliments from so many age demographics.

Positioned above the entrance of the pub, I recieved great feedback as people walked inside. The best compliments came from people who said “wow I never knew a brown guy could play Irish songs”.

To be frank, anyone can play Irish songs, a lot of the traditional ones are 3 chords – G,C,D , but it’s the passion and phrasing of lyrics that’s needed to truly make it epic, meaningful and honest.
