Having mates in different industries is a great cause you never know when they will need you –as a stand in.
In this case, my friend (an award winning documentary film-maker) needed to shoot a live band, for a Discovery Network docucrime show called Nothing Personal, for an episode titled “Married to a RockStar”. The episode (hosted by the HBO Sopranos actor Steve Schirripa) centered around a wannabe rockstar who
murders his pregnant wife so he can be with his mistress. The rockstar /murderer is played by yours truly on bass guitar. No voice or face shots of me were used (tk God), only shots of the head down (tk God again). Nothing Personal airs on Discovey Investigation in Canada, US, and the UK.

17 MarRivoli L.A Showcase
15 JanSometimes you just want to hug the Rivoli sign, because it’s one of those Toronto clubs that make you feel pretty moist – creatively.
This occasion was a A&R music showcase with an audience of music industry professionals (alot from L.A I’m told..), hearing my original songs.
Being a music professional myself, as they judged my performance, I judged their performance on iphones, blackberrys, claps, and beer swigs as I played. It was gobs of fun.
The Fall Breaks Back to Winter Pubs
5 Nov
As the weather got chilly, I headed indoors into the Pubs – specifically Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pubs. From September to December, I will have played 4 different locations across the GTA multiple times, meeting and greeting those who just want to hear renditions of forgotten 90’s hits (and of course my own original ditties). I’m also playing the great King Street West Irish saloon (Fynn’s of Temple Bar). This place is a party every Wednesday, and you never know how crazy it will get until some random person starts requesting Whitney Houston songs (it happens).
