Way back in the early 2000’s, an entertainment journalist for my hometown newspaper (The Mississauga News) wanted to do an article about my then current indie album ‘Carnies’, and how I was preparing to promote and perform it in the UK. Fast forward to May 2016, on a cool Sunday evening, hanging with my family, I received a call from the same entertainment journalist – out of nowhere.
Upon answering the phone his name (Mike Beggs) didn’t ring a bell, but after mentioning the last time we spoke, I was transported from present to the past and back to the present. He saw my name posted on Fionn MacCools performance boards performing here there and anywhere around the GTA, and wanted to find out what I was up to these days. I then gave him a ‘fly on the wall’ look at my current state of mind, of how I now brand (or perceive) myself as a singer/songwriter/marketer and human iPod (on shuffle). It was a great article in my opinion and you can read it here.
