This year I received a great opportunity to perform at the 2015 Oakville Co-operators Rotary Int. Ribfest Festival at Sheridan College. IMG_7418A great event with a 800 +  audience, got to see me do a great mix of classic songs, basically catering to the extreme mixed age demographic present. IMG_7419“Here’s a Rolling Stones song from 1969 mixed with a U2 song from 1984, followed by a 2009 Kings of Leon song, to a  classic Eagles song from 1975, to a Taylor Swift song from 2015, to a Green Day song from 1995, with IMG_7420the ending from a Neil Young song from 1975. Audience response was so great, I was called again to perform the next day. IMG_7422Always interesting watching an audience clap, and cheer with sauce around their mouths. The merger of songs, sauce, and ribs tasted pretty good too.list

B2B Brand Gigs and Talk Radio

Sometimes the ‘energy’ from a show continues into the next day. In this case, I teamed up (or did a B2B as they say in IMG_6785business) with a fantastic craft brewery – Cameron’s Brewery and Longo’s Elite Restaurant – “Corks” for a special show. As guests ate dinner and sampled some great beer from Cameron’s I took requests and played a stellar set which could be IMG_6784heard all over the Grocery Store. So much to the point that I got requests from the Bakery, Deli and Produce Dept. A little surreal.

This was followed into the next morning with a quick meet and chat with Maie Pauts from Toronto’s radio station Boom 97.3 on the show the night before. A great way to plug Cameron’s, Corks and yeah me (why not?)IMG_6793

2015 Spring Tour of GTA

2 May

Screen shot 2015-05-05 at 12.00.50 AMThis Spring has pretty much been a sandwich of gigs from a combination of all the places I played at. It was a great non-stop vibe, almost like being on a tour of the greater Toronto area playing shows in Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Etobicoke daily (and throw in a resort gig in Orlando Florida USA somewhere in between). And at

It was awesome, and slightly exausting like running a 20k marathon. The best nights were ones where people would sing right into your face (out of key of course), or when waitress would do sign language to translate the lyrics to an audience. I was truly amused (can’t you tell by my serious face?).
