And November comes… The clocks fall back, it gets cold and rainy outside, it gets dark at 4pm. For me, this month is the reintroduction to the warm cozy Irish pub – Fionn Maccools. Yes it’s a corporate chain pub, but it’s been a home for me for the last 5 years. In particular – Britania, Clarkson, Davisville and Oakville GTA locations have been a great place to play Irish standards and originals. My November shows had that vibe, playing standards like ‘Black Velvet Band’, ‘Some say the devil is dead’ into classics like ‘Beast of Burden’ , or ‘Dancing in the Dark’.
With winter approaching, it’s still been a great place to play to warm crowds.

For this year’s Toronto Beer Week, I was asked again by Longo’s Grocery Store restaurant “Corks” to perform alongside a great sponsored beer – Beau’s. It was at this event I promoted Beau’s as much as i could (by taking swigs of each of their Beer Samples). It was a great event, and as always, it a bit of surreal experience to sing songs while grocery shoppers are looking at you from below. The great highlight is always doing a ‘shout out’ to song requests from the ‘produce’ , ‘bakery’ or ‘pizza’ departments. Thanks Guys!
