A few years back (2006) I started thinking that playing hits of the 90’s was “different” or unique. Now it’s 2014, andi find that the tide has turned where 90’s music is now ‘Dad Rock’ and 60’s music is more or less “Grand Dad Rock”.
In April I had a gig per week which I surveyed requests from families vs single professionals.
Amazing, the families wanted hits from the 90’s and the single professionals wanted songs from 2002 – present.
This gig was at the swanky Cavern Club in Toronto (no not Liverpool), where Dad Rock folks were tweeting away.
